  • Amazingly done. Just for clarification, are you using sutures to seal the wound? If you are, I have to say you barely notice them at all, except for the thin black line they create.

  • @mmascio1 yes, sutures. :)

  • It doesn't look like you got any scars from removing your moles. I have one on my stomach that i tried removing myself but it created raised scarring inside of the mole, so i have to surgically remove it.

With the excision technique, did it leave a flat white scar, or was the scar long, raised and discolored?

Can you describe the scar after your raised mole removal if you had any scarring?

  • @SKINNY15lol unfortunately, moles removed from the body heal poorly in the majority of cases. facial moles that are removed by a qualified and experienced facial plastic surgeon should really not have such an issue. they should be very hard to detect.

  • your much prettier now without the moles i just did a dermabrasion on the side of the forehead and it looks really nasty can't wait until it scabs :P

  • @bourneidenty it could contract a little bit but that is the length. the goal for a good mole reduction is to make that scar very very hard to see at normal range. that involves a slightly modified geometric broken line repair to zig zag the line and to do a meticulous closure. also possible dermabrasion afterward is important. all of the aftercare that is involved prohibits me from doing this in someone who is outside of the dallas area. if you are, i'm sorry.

    best,

    sml

  • @samlammd So will that be the length of the scar forever? Or it will gradually go smaller abit?

  • @bourneidenty the incision typically is 3x the mole diameter so picture a mole on either side of the mole and that should be the length.

    best,

    sml

  • @bourneidenty I have a slightly protruded mole on my face, roughly about 0.5cm in diameter...if i have it removed, may I know roughly how big the scar might/will be? Hope that you can provide me with some opinion

  • @bourneidenty can't recall. probably a few centimeters in size.
