Mingo Falls is on the North Carolina Cherokee Indian Reservation. Hike with Greg to the most beautiful water falls around.

  • That is a great video! We have a camp site at the Mingo falls Campground and it is one of my favorite places! Actually leaving in the morning to spend a long weekend there. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you. It's been a while but I watched it again. Seems like everything somehow came together nicely in that movie.

  • @hikingtrailmaster lol i was afrid of a lot of things as a kid lol

  • this is my favorite place it is so peaceful here with my ancesters.may the CREATOR BE WITH YOU ALWAYS.

  • The Delawares called this people Mengwe, from which comes the word Mingo. In later times, however, the word Mingo became applied more particularly to the Cayugas. The celebrated Indian chief, Logan, who was of the Cayuga tribe, was familiarly known as the Mingo chief.

  • @hikingtrailmaster What does the word Mingo mean? Is it Cree?

  • the most peaceful place i have been. The people and life is so open and sweet there. I am white, and I will marry a cherokee man, and they treat me like i am one of their own. I can not say enough of what I learned from these people, to be what I have come today. I am so greatful, I got to meet their culture, and their living.

  • I love nature..

  • @DerrickH1969 yes, there is a trail to the left of the waterfall. I just climbed it a few days ago. It's VERY steep and isn't the safest of trails, but it's well worth it!
