There's just something about slamming the gears into place that an auto can never match. The whole point is to feel like you're actually DRIVING, not have some computer do it for you

@23CHRISAIR23 If something unfortunatly will hits your eyes, you instinctly will close them. At the same time the f430 scuderia will shift a gear before you closed your eyes at all ! OMFG i'm not kidding !

its not an automatic its a Direct Shift Gearbox, one of the best ever made and this is the way the future is going. Don't get me wrong my 06 GTI is a 6s/manual but i am about to upgrade to the 2011 GTI and i have driven both the DSG and Manual and I have to admit the DSG is a fantastic piece of engineering which gives you the best of both worlds: 1. COMPLETE control over your gear selection and timing, and 2. the relaxing effortless control of an "automatic" only better and faster.
