**Remember, VOTE NO, NOT YES!!!*** I read Bill Vander Zalm's "study" on FightHST.com, and got pissed off enough to write and edit a rebuttal video. Please forward this to your friends, and get everyone out to vote "No" on the referendum so we can keep the HST.

Did U go sopping last weekend? South of the 49th?

Are U going shopping this weekend? South of the 49th?

Imagine how much cheaper prices would be if we didn’t have HST (Remember that HST includes Gst and Pst.)

Think of the additional income that would be generated for local businesses if Canadians didn’t go South to do there shopping.

Think of the increase in revenue if our neighbours from down South came North to do their shopping because there was no taxes.

This vid is a good example of someone who can't tell the difference between perception and reality.

This is why the referendum system doesn't work. Ask California.....

You have done a lot of research, and I commend you for it. Many university students voted to keep it, even if HST impacted "students" most. Education leads to awareness, and I think people need to educate themselves more before making a choice, instead of using emotion and following the misguided masses.

I voted to keep the HST, but I know so many people who voted against it because "Well, if so many people don't like it, how can it be good?" I facepalmed and proceeded to try and tell them how wrong they were, but it was too late because everyone had already voted. Thanks for fucking us over, you morons. Maybe learn before you vote next time.

I spent a considerable amount of time reading economic papers on Value Added Taxes. I ended up voting no.

The reality is that the tax cut on the business side did not result in a perfect price adjustment to the consumer. This meant that the tax meant a major transfer of benefit to businesses against the benefit to the consumer.

It was the fact that HST was expanded to a whole slew of other products (like restaurant meals) in order to make up the revenue shortfall that angered BC voters.

What's done is done. Now we ALL have to suffer the consequences of voting out the HST.
