Using Phonon to playback video in a QGraphicsView in Qt 4.4!

Just a small test/demo!

Also featured: Widgets on the Graphics View! (Actually, the Phonon Video widget inherits from QWidget itself..)

Sorry for the small lag! It is caused by my capturing software :(

  • Nice demo, unfortunately if you use the gstreamer backend the video color is encoded backward (BGR) and all the colors are fucked

  • WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! WHY EVERYTHING MOVE? WHY EVERY ANIMAL GET A NUT IN HIS HEAD?

  • Hi! I liked your demo very much so I made my own: Adding a Phonon VideoWidget to a QGraphicsView. Visual results were very nice (as in your demo), but the problem I found was that CPU usage was terrible compared to a regular Phonon VideoWidget.

How was your experience in terms of performance? Could you render the video without problems?

    Regards,

    Juan

  • @benlaudc Do you have OpenGL rendering activated? If yes and you are using windows, do you have the right driver installed? Whats about the graphics card itself? Do you have a "real" graphics card or just a onboard solution?

  • Excellent! I am also trying to embeded phonon within QGraphicsView.. but the framerate is very slow. Any tricks can help to improve it?
