  • @Stepdenisethetrumpet We're playing this piece in my band this year. Its wicked when you have a tight section!

  • Great Music!

  • thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,this brings back memories,,, used to play this with a college band at montreux 78

  • @crabboil929 the lead player was Lin Biviano.

  • A friend of mine introduced me to MF about a year ago. We both have a common thread about us, we played trombone. I was wondering if anyone knew who was 1st trombonist in this video. Thank you for any info.

  • Lin Biviano was in Buddy Rich's band thru Jan or Feb of 1972, which means this had to have been taped in 1973.

  • Maynard rolled into Chabot College in Hayward, CA for this show. I actually had a tape recorder on me and taped it. When the trumpets came out in the audience at the end of Hey Jude to echo Maynard on stage, Lin Biviano stationed himself right by me and I put the mike right in front of him. It's a great tape!!

  • My God, I may have been in the audience! - 72 would be about right - It was in the gym at Santa Barbara City College. Ill never forget - there was not that big a crowd and the band left the floor and surrounded the audience and played Hey Jude - OMG!!

  • Is the tenor player standing in a hole? BRUCE JOHNSTONE on baritone!!!!

  • WOW! This is as good as GOLD! I have never seen a live performance of this chart. It was one of my favorites when I was a young trumpet jazz ensemble player in the early 70's. Thanks for posting this! Brings back some memories!
