@jetpack1986, not even 5HP dude. Synthetic 5w-30 is Synthetic 5w-30. Unless RP is putting fairies in their oil.

@mounlasy, Of course an engine without oil, improper oil, or spent oil will perform worse than one with fresh, proper oil. That's common sense. But I cannot belive that oil will increase horsepower. Synthetic oil is synthetic oil. Give some definitive independent dyno data that proves that Royal Purple increases horsepower over other oils. I'd honestly like to see if it's true. The only thing I'm sure that would notice the difference, is the good ol' butt dyno.

The Color Purple has the highest lubricative qualities in it.. thats what may give Royal Purple that extra few horses over other oils is becasue of the increase in Viscosity ....but Honestly I Prefer & Only Use Mobil 1

I don't know everything but I rebuild engines for a living.

@mounlasy yes thank you know it all

It does actually. The motor needs lubrication right? Oil helps with reducing friction and because there are so many moving parts that causes wear.....the oil's responsibility is to ensure proper lubrication to all moving parts which in terms allows the motor to run at it's full peak thus creating more horsepower. Not all oil is created equally!!

@charger334 common i thought it was funny

@charger334 if you put no oil you have no horsepower

@charger334, That's what I'm wondering. I'd love to see definitive independent laboratory analysis that determines that oil can increase Horsepower and Torque. I'm not hating on Royal Purple, even thought I'm a Mobil 1 guy, but if I'm going to pay up to 2 dollars more per quart, there better be a damn good reason. And some guy telling me I'm making more horses ain't cutting it.
