Light in Jerusalem 09: Blade Runner (Old City, Jerusalem, 15.06.09)

Light Video Art Festival in old city of Jerusalem. Red Trail - Site Two. The German Church.

Blade Runner - Videotape removed from a VHS copy of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner forms a lattice of crisscrossed lines spreading across the exhibition space. A video animation is aimed precisely at these lines and appears to move along the tape, much as the head in the VHS. The animation were inspired by the plot of the film: lighting-bolt lines, chaotics rhythms, anda the history of film,a recurrent theme in the artist's work.
