"The meaning of all that I believed before
Escapes me in this world of none, no thing, no one."
Beautiful metaphor!

Interesting to see how Tony Banks sits so high in front of the piano, his arms almost vertical instead of horizontal.
-
Wonderful....Spacially at the end when Phill plays the crowd`s ovation....Love it.

that song is to me the pineacle of Tony's songwriting. fucking brilliant!!!

If I was in that studio at that time, I would have to grab a bass guitar, dam that was good, stand that up against any phoney crap today

In the NAKEDNESS of this performance
you can hear that diamond shining up the bright original poetic reason-to-be of that tune. The way it was born from their souls and hands ,and was ment to be.
Even "dressed-up and fully arranged" this songs poetry is of an absolutely charming and heart-overwhelming kind.

Damn this is a great song. The version on Seconds Out is the definitive one, I reckon.

Afterglow doesn't live by itself. It's strict part of W&W suite, and must be played only after "unquiet". Alone it seems a sweet pop hit.
BTW: taking W&W for Foxtrot is terrible... Please don't misguide two definitely different artistic periods of G!

very appropriate..... my condolences.....he must have been a musician!
