Prayer Before Reading the Bible

Merciful God, anoint me with your Holy Spirit. As I read Your Word, let me hear Your voice speaking to me from within. Give me wisdom to understand Your message to me. Let Your Word be the joy of my heart and the light to my feet. Give me Strength to build my life on Your Word. May I rejoice in the blessedness of hearing Your Word and keeping it. Please meditate the Word of God, do not read Bible like a story book, Pray before and after  you read and Lord will reveal the truth. Do not be like Jews in Jesus days, they follow the Word of God Word by Word and did not understand what it exactly meant, Jesus do correct them(Ex Sabbath). Hope you read John chptr 6 and understand it. I greatly appreciate your time let end this discussion here and ask Lord for more clarification if needed.

Where in Bible you read that Mary born in sin?? If not how can you come to the conclusion that Mary was born in sin, this is false teaching; you are adding your own things to Bible which is not right. We all know that God is sinless, ask a question to yourself that is it possible for God (who is sinless) to born to a sinful woman?? It is a mystery; to understand that ask Lord in your prayer, who will reveal the TRUTH. You do not need to post whole bible here I do read Bible:)

I did not understand from where you got the point that there is another God or Goddess!!!, We believe that only one God the Father, only one God the Son and only One God the Holy Spirit. Does this video talk about any other God?? If you found other than these Three please let me know I will drop this video. To clarify Mother Mary is not God. Mother Mary is Mother of Lord Jesus Christ. Read the scriptures prayerfully your eyes will be open to the TRUTH. Read John Chapter 2&6.

Dude you are totally mistaken. there are 2 answers for your question.

1)Bible never tells nothing can be added or deleted from bible. Bible is a collection of books . Reveletaions to John is a seperate book and in around AD300 this book (book of revelation) became part of Bible .

2)Hail (Mary) full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women", embodies the words used by the Angel Gabriel in saluting the Blessed Virgin (Luke, I, 28). and Elizabeth(Luke, I, 42)

I do understand your spirit. Please relax and read the Bible prayerfully. Pls read Luke 1. I think u did not read my response clearly. U r saying "to pray to her", which I did not say. U r using "pray to" and " intercession" interchangeably. Hail Mary is not man mad it is Word of God from Bible. If you are not confident pls ask Lord to reveal the truth in your prayer, He will. Getting into argument wont help to reveal the TRUTH, ask in prayer. Search Utob "The Mystery of Christ"

First of all thanks for replying.......the prayer of hail mary is not written in the holy bible but our father is written........hail mary means praising mary..........why should we praise mary???she has not given her life for us......it is jesus who gave us his life.......but we do have to respect mary for obeying what god commanded her......but that dosent mean that we have to pray to her.......

There are different levels of prayers Holy Mass, Group Prayer, Family Prayer and personal prayer. All of these are equally important. Holy Mass is Heaven touching earth, which is the greatest prayer then the Japamala, which we can use for personal, familyprayer

Word of God is powerful. So when you meditate on word of God for 20 minutes or 30 minutes You are spending time with Jesus. It is not misguiding people. Please do not misunderstand. When you are in need of prayer don't you ask your mother to pray for you? Does that mean she is a god? You are asking your mother's intercession. Which will be more powerful intercession for you in this world than anyone else. So we are asking Mother Mary's Intercession, She is Mother of Our LordJesus.

First of all do you know Japamala? If not please go through it. Japamala has 20 decades and 18 of these decades are from Bible. In very simple words Japamala means meditating Jesus Christ and His birth, life, crucifixion, resurrection. The prayer is Our father and Hail Mary which is there in the bible, means we recite the Word of God.
