This is the "sequel" to my Tripping the 50s Sci-fi vid. The 1960s was a decade of tumultuous change - socially, culturally, politically and artistically. To me there were two almost polar opposite life views clashing throughout the decade: the spirit and optimism of youth and it's new found freedoms, and those who saw life through the prism of it's harsh realities in social inequity, political unrest and the simple cold hard facts of life.
With this in mind i've fashioned the vid to be among other things a between the lines statement on aspects of human nature, but at heart it's a fun tribute to the Sci-fi movie imagination of the greatest of all decades of the 20th century. :)
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles
On The Run (remix) - Pink Floyd
What was that film at the begining? I remember it from when I was very young.

@2ndself Hi! It called The Time Machine, starring Rod Taylor, based on a book by H.G.Wells. I think Google videos has the full movie at it's site. If not you might try one of the zillions of freebie movie sites around the web. ovguideDOTcom has them all listed.- Cheers - Wayne

Hey Wayne!! I guess I'm a little too young because I don't recall quite a few of these clips. I thought you did a terrific job putting this video together however. 5 stars! I absolutely love "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"!! Great choice of music! :) Pink Floyd rocks as well. Will there be another sequel?? LOL!!! :) Sorry I've been out of touch. Trying to pack to prepare to move to the new home we're buying soon. Hope you enjoy the holiday season and have a wonderful New Year's Day!! --Kim

Hi, Kim! Another sequel? Hmm maybe, though i'm thinking of doing a horror movie vid next up; i'm in tribute mode at the moment.
I'm VERY happy you've got a new house! The only downside is packing (not my favourite pastime lol) Keep in touch when you can, we're all fairly busy at this time of year anyway. :) Have a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
