And those extra slots are seen on many of the new harnesses from Petzl... they might not be used all the time but sometimes it's good to have some extra gear attachment points ;o)
I do own a Calidris by the way... even as a non-big-wall-climber... it just is pretty comfortable and I am happy with it :o) By the way thx for the Review

The 2 slots at 1:30 are for the caritool carabiners that make 2 extra gear mounting points for this harness possible to be used. Those caritool are made in 2 sizes the regular one with 5kg payload and the large one with 15kg payload.
Actually those 2 slots do make sense for different activities... carry ice screws, extra quick draws or your belaying devices there and keep the loops free for your other equipment
