A free guitar lesson sample taken from the four-hour DVD guitar course, Logical Lead Guitar. In this segment, instructor Adam St. James demonstrates how to break down part of the main shape of the pentatonic scale into useful riffs so you can begin to solo. Tab and sheet music for this video are available in the LLG newsletter. In the actual course you'll see and learn from demonstrations from this entire scale pattern, plus the remaining four pentatonic scale pattern shapes, all seven diatonic (major and minor) scale patterns, and the 10 basic major and minor arpeggio patterns. If you really want to play lead guitar -- in any musical style -- you MUST know these patterns! • @mattfifi with practice

  • Hi:

I play woodwinds and find it difficult to relate to the fretboard.

What I like is that you used the term kinda like hand friendly as I have tried to few positions and am not a fan of no pain no gain.................

No pain no gain leads to injuries and trying something else.....I loike the simplicity of your lessons as well as the practicality so you have won a fan

    Thanks

  • do u use the scale like all the time? or does the scale fits like all the chords? or is it just improvising? :P

  • Because I have a mortgage to pay, and a wife and kids to feed. The plumber doesn't fix my sink for free just to be nice....'cause he's got a mortgage to pay, and a wife and kids to feed...

Glad the taster off my DVD Logical Lead Guitar helped... There are a lot more on the site itself, plus free book downloads when you join the mailing list....plus a free lesson blog too -- so I do put plenty of free lesson material out there, and will continue to do so -- but I still got a mortgage to pay!

  • Line 6 is a great choice.

  • you can get a marshall half stack at guitar center for about that much. It's a hell of a nice amp. Or a mini stack for a little under that.

  • thats awsome

  • Adam,

Does your course cover modes? I'm close to pulling the trigger on your course but I really need something that covers modes. Thanks!
