  • Aloha, thanks for your beautiful video.. what camera setup were you using, please. I just did the Manta & Black Water Night Dive with Big island divers the week of 2-16-21. I believe we are all getting connected through our love of the ocean. Aloha, Christina

  • Aloha Christina! Thanks for your comments. My friend was filming but I think we had a pretty basic setup, if I remember correctly, we had cannon powershot camera with the special underwater casing. They used to be expensive but I think getting cheaper, just google cannon underwater case and you should get plenty of options. Have fun out there!

  • I have NEVER seen a Manta Rays this large, Ever!!! It sorta frightened me. They seemed to enjoy 'dancing' over the bubbles. Maybe the bubbles massaged or tickled their belly? Who knows... Nice footage!

  • Hi, thanks! It was very surreal, especially because of the swirly massive fish schools glistening in the light. Coolest thing I've ever done!

  • Did this dive in July. Coolest thing ever! They're like Aliens or something!

  • they look like wood flying over you

  • I did this dive about 10 years ago and it is still one of my best experiences. The divers all form in a circle on the floor in about only 20-30 ft deep, so your down there for awhile! Get the brightest light you can as this draws the plankton twoards you and that's what their eating. You'll see them as tiny glowing specs in the water. I paid the dive operator a little extra to film them and us and got a video similiar to theese. I recommend this to you, cause then you can just enjoy it.

  • ok first of all awesome video

i intend to go scuba diving in hawaii next year and i gotta know

where can i get an underwater film camera so i can record the footage

    not just take still shots
