I was wondering why the cat was always hungry, this cheeky lizard has been sneaking inside and eating the cat food, then exits leaving the cat door even though the door is slightly open.
@vintagerosenz hahaha wtf...you know nothing about reptiles. Lizards either are, or they aren't dangerous. Depends on way too many things for me to list here. Will they attack? If you are an idiot with handling them and depending on their mood, sure why not? This one is "fat" because all skinks have large rounded middle sections if they're healthy...seriously, that's like asking why a fish has scales...
@dragonfan1981 Research in the last five years has proven that Varanids, along with the Hemodermatid (Beaded lizards, Gila Monster), being the closest lizard reptiles to the suborder Serpentia, do possess venomous toxins. Hemodermatids have more evolved teeth and mandibular glands, while varanids and other close species have less specialized mandibular and maxillary glands. Its just that many are't strong enough for the toxins to be dangerous to us, but they are there.
@dragonfan1981 Maybe not dangerous, but as for venom...
It's been proven that all monitors have some degree of venom, as well as the bearded dragon, however, it has little to no effect on humans. Of course, you're right about the skink. The bites hurt more than one would expect though, IMO.
@vintagerosenz These lizards will bite if handled but they can't do any damage. They aren't venomous either, only a few species are. The komodo dragon is the only lizard that's really a threat in the wild. The others won't hurt you unless you do something stupid.
You should have caught it....WITH A POKEBALL!

Actually this is called a blue tongued skink. :) My brother had one as a pet when he was younger. I loved that thing. :( He was so awesome.
And they are meant to look fat when they are close to the ground, they kind of flat out to appear bigger. xP

The video preview made it look like a snake!!! Are lizards quite dangerous at all? Will they attack?! This one is quite fat, like it is pregnant?
