I get it. So he's kind of the field leader while she's in charge the rest of the time. Makes sense.

The girl is "Yoko", she is the leader of the team. They are basically a Japanese version of Goonies. (But please note this one is older than the movie directed by Richard Donner).
The boy is the second, but he is the first sergeant at the fight.
In short, the team has two heads, IMHO.

It's interesting how through the whole opening the girl seems to be the team leader but then at the very end it looks like the guy in the blue is.

Let's a female, male, little kid, Big Male, a nerd. Yup this makes the perfect fit for a super Robot Series(have yet to see it. If anyone thinks its good, which I am sure by the comments people have posted)
