The launch of Photoshop CS4 & lightroom 2 gave us a more powerful way of working with RAW images and it's called the Adjustment Brush.

Digital expert Gavin Hoey http://www.gavtrain.com shows just how simple and effective the adjustment brush can be.

  • Hey, Is Camera Raw included in Cs4 of a seperate application if so where can I purchace it online? And can I work with non RAW images? (I'm aware this is a slighly stupid question)

  • Yes it's part of CS4.

Camera RAW is very capable of working with non RAW images.

    There are no stupid questions.

  • hello Gav just want to say your videos are fantastic keep up the great work.

Now i wonder if you can help me. i now have CS4 & Elements 6 and i have just got a Nikon D90 and i cannot open the files in raw???? i have contacted Adobe and they told me to download this and that then but still nothing, is this something you could help me with or point me in the right direction?

    many thanks mike

  • As long as you have an upto date copy of Adobe Camera RAW installed (currently v5.5) that it should work.

One tip. If you're manually installing the update to RW you MUST delete to old copy 1st. Don't rename the old copy of RAW, remove it.
