After a few minutes, the engine finally comes to life.

Ford first offered the starting motor for the Model T in 1919. It became standard on all cars in 25. Although both of my T's have starting motors I still hand crank.

Now adays you can equip them with a starter. You can still crank them but a lot of people seem to prefer the electric starter

they had starters later in the 1920s.
