This is the prequel to a series I'm starting of videos to help those budding programmers out there to learn how to use Vim. It will make your text-editing way faster, which is extremely useful for programming. I will be covering basic movement and editing commands, as well as making macros.
If you prefer emacs... that's cute.

  • @leodamascus I know this might seem stupid but this is my first time using ubuntu and I need to use gvim. It says removed like yours however I don't know how to open a new gvim window.

    Where can I open it?

  • @warrior0131 Ubuntu 10.10? Just press the super button (usually the one with the Windows logo) and type "Gvim." Press enter, and it should open.
