19 - Song, Black Magic Women

I've always loved this song, and the journey it takes me on ... it's one of the very few songs that make me want to relax, dance and sing at the same time .... I was long overdue some electric blues - so it was time to crank the amps up and get those guitars singing.

Three guitars, bass, drums, vocals and a lot of time, soooo much time.

This is by far the most energy I have ever spent working on a song cover - Peter Green sets the highest of bars, and I didn't want to make a mockery of his piece of blues history.

I've taken poetic licence into effect in some parts of this song .... forgive me.

This is, of course, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, and the song is Black Magic Women;

@HushJadey I do like the Santana version, but Peter's version is classic. Ever since my brother turned me on to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, I've loved this version :-)

@WhisperSister Yeah, it's not one of his big hits - Santana made it big .... but I love the simplicity of Peter's version, the fact that every instrument can be defined - that's where the journey begins.
