I don't believe in religion... neither should you.

@ScienceReasonBelief Are you atheist?

Well, fortunately the Mormon doctrine is false, so he doesn't have to worry about being gay. Religion is simply superstition.

I think he is confusing about the whole sould thing. We can't see our sould so the only way to know about it is to listen to scripture...not him. He wants his church to change doctrine but it can't. Every group has rules to belong. When you can no longer meet those rules you either do something to stay in the group or leave it.

The person here says that the Book of Mormon and the D&C do not reference homosexuality, but we do have modern prophets today that do. Also, did I understand him incorrectly, or does he plan on living a homosexual lifestyle? Finally, he says he believes he will be gay in the eternities, but that is contrary to the doctrine. Two men or two women together cannot have posterity. Not judging, but interested in his plan and take on these issues.

I am blown away by this riveting, firsthand personal account of same-sex attraction.

Excellent presentation from both brothers on Mormon theology, complexities of sexuality and unconditional love. Thank you both for your honesty, compassion, and the realities of being gay and Mormon. We are all a "work in progress" and it is obvious that some have made "true" progression in this life towards understanding who they are and the challenges they face. How wonderful to hear Clark's arrival at "self- legitimacy". This video is an example of God's love in action for all people.

tillietebben, why do you have so much anger towards gays. Have we, as a whole, offended you? Why are you even watching these types of videos? The hatred and anger that you hold in your heart hurts YOU more than anyone. Go see the Johnny Depp movie "Sweeney Todd". It's a tale of a man who has been wronged and lives an angry and hateful life and he suffers immensely because of his own poor choices on how to handle his anger and hatred. I believe that you could benefit from that life lesson.
I love this video. I think its amazing that you posted this. Thank you so much. For someone to stand up and say in such a clear way that it is a blessing to be a gay person-- a gay soul-- is a very powerful witness to share. Bravo.

Thank you for posting this video! I will admit I am a 24 year old current college student at BYU who struggles with same-gender attraction. I'm glad there are those who are uplifting, encouraging, and even understanding. We need more people to be like this; after all it is hard enough for us to come to terms and struggle with this attraction ourselves. I definitely recomend the book "In Quiet Desperation" published by Deseret Book Co. for anyone else LDS.
