I got this bird toy treasure chest for Clovis, and at first he didn't seem so sure what to do. Now he mastered it in 25 seconds or less! He has to twist two key screws 180 degrees then pull them out and a treat compartment is opened. It took him about a week to get it at first but within a few weeks he got it down pat. This was actually the third time he opened it in less than a half hour, he does it so quick I needed to grab a camera, but it was open everytime I got back or even turned it on, not this time.

  • can birds have candy? or does she just mean a treat?

  • Candy is the word we use for a treat, which is usually a cracker, special seed, etc. Clovis actually says, "I want candy!" when he sees us eating, because he wants something too. I would not recommend giving human candy to birds.
