Found this one in a "Taste of Home" Magazine

3/4 cup butter softened
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp water
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Glaze:
1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1. in a large bowl cream together the butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Set aside
2. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Spread into a greased 15"x10" pan, bake at 325F for 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned.
3. For glaze, in microwave, melt chips and peanut butter, stir until smooth. Pour over warm bars, spread evenly, cool before cutting into bars.

  • @meganandrosie1 There is 3/4 cup of peanut butter in this (that's why peanut butter appears in the title) and it is required to bind everything else together. Can't think of anything else to sub with sorry

  • i watched this last night and was like, I NEED TO MAKE THIS! and, of course, i did! definitely making them again! 2 things: you left out the flour when you listed the ingredients. :/ i had to go back because i knew i was missing something. also, for some reason, when i went to make the glaze, they weren't melting as nicely, but i made it work. thanks for the video! :)

  • @yoyomax12 Soy nut butter works too. As does Cashew butter. Very different flavors but not bad ones.

  • ahhhhhhhhh it looooks soooooo good, i luv oatmeal cookies or bars especially when i combine it wit choco, but im not a big fan of pb, do i havta use it, will it effect da texture, like i dont really hate it its just i dont eat it alot but do i havta use pb
