Alexander Stannard-Abe presents his senior project for the Honolulu Waldorf High School, "Skimboarding 101." This video showcases him making three skimboards: one circular board from the '50s, a wooden Victoria replica from the '70s, and a modern foam board. It also shows some of his regular skimoarding activities, from Sandy's Beach on Oahu to the HASL Makena tournament on Maui.
Shot mainly on my Canon 7D, with some additional footage on my GoPro hero. Edited in Final Cut Pro.
Music: "Wildcat," by Ratatat, and "Lebanese Blonde" by Thievery Corporation.

@G00Gerful Sure, this is Alex skimming and I am his older brother. The pro board he is on in this video is a "Grape" brand skimboard, the other 2 boards he actually made himself for this project. "Victoria," is another good brand. Most skim companies are based in California so you will probably have to go online unless you want to make one yourself. Turns out the materials are very expensive, so they don't really make them in Hawaii. I can private message you if you want more details.

@victoriamorricone Thank you very much! I used "Wildcat" by the band Ratatat for the intro, and "Lebanese Blonde" by Thievery Corporation is the 2nd one.
