Hi ya I have had my ulcer on and off for over thirty years following a motorbike accident and have had my veins cut and tied to try and help but no joy so I am now resigned to always having this condition along with arthritis oral lichen planus as well, I think I must have went to the wrong lucky white heather shop

I wish I had known what to call this long ago. Just recently saw a DR and they told me. At the moment have what he called a "boot" which looked alot like a cast with an ace bandage over it, and then they said they will be doing some sort of laser surgery to correct the vein problem which he said caused this.

@monyannie69 yes, exactly. It feels like it is going numb. Thanks for replying. Very helpful. And good to know it can heal. My leg has just been getting redder and redder. Dr's useless, with respect:(

@littlekimvirginia YES IT FINALLY HEALED. ELEVATE YOUR LEGS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. YOUR DONT NEED TO HAVE SWELLING AROUND THE SITE. OR IN YOUR LEGS AND FEET. THIS COULD LEAD TO IT OPENING THE WOUND UP. I KNOW THAT IS WHAT HAPPEN TO MINE. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT YOUR FOOT / ANKLE GETS A FUZZY FEELING. DO YOU MEAN LIKE IT IS TRYING TO GO NUMB?

Is there any way that these legs or just one of them can be really healed? The skin on my lower right leg hasn't broken yet, but I'm on antibiotics because there is an infection and my foot ankle gets a fuzzy feeling in it. Many thanks for any help offered.

THIS WAS A SOURCE OF GOOD INFORMATION. I HAD 3 STASIS ULCERS ON MY LEGS AT THE SAME TIME. I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN ALL OF THIS INFO WAY BACK THEN.
