@michman5614 Its different singing in the studio, where you can keep doing it over till it sounds right. Singing live on tour, night after night, is much harder on the voice.

ummm bj had barretts disease of the esophagus. Try to sing like that with scar tissue in your esophagus. the reason he sounds better is becuz he had surgery. And the reason the old songs sound diff live like 'bib' is becuz he has a different tone to his voice which if you try to sing his style, seems to take the strain out of the voice as compared to how he used to sing. so i dont think he cant sing them, i think he changed his voice to save himself.

@michman5614Brian sound better than most people live, IMO. Have you heard Robert Plant? That guy can't even sing anymore.

I thought Brian Johnson's voice was shot.. Every time I listen to them live doing the old classics he never hits the higher notes and seems to change the melody of the song live.... But what i am hearing now sounds like he could do it.. Could it be that he is just to lazy live to do the old songs live? Sort of just sick of them? uninspired perhaps?
