  • Bromine is highly toxic and kills anything in its path. Its cost per unit is outside the limits of being practical.

  • only a small amount of Br is necessary. also there are various liquid compounds with boiling points between 100* and 0*. Because we can modulate the pressure, the boiling point is almost unimportant. 2.'They' own the factories, power plants, McDonalds, and coal mines, and I have no intention of taking these things off their hands. I just want to brush the soot off them.

  • Good stuff. :-)

  • Modulate the pressure? You need pressure to power the turbine. You say you will lower the pressure to boil Br easier or faster? You pressure goes back up and then you vent to boil? You need the pressure to turn the turbine and lots of it. Try it, you will see. Bad idea all around. nice thought, keep trying.

  • Lots of theory, I don't see any practical examples or a lab setup to demonstrate the theories mentioned. All I see is a sheet music stand with scribble. Anyone can draw pictures and spout supposition, proving the theory is what makes the difference.
