It's a shame this didn't last, I can't believe I never got to see it. This isn't too bad, in my opinion. I kinda like it. Maybe not necessarily the *best* execution of a Monopoly gameshow, per se, but still not bad by any means. I'd watch this if it were still on.

@owensed01 In all fairness, about 90% of all game shows throughout history are made for lowest-common-denominator contestants. And is this really were Monopoly, each game would be four hours long!

I read that Peter Tomarken hosted the pilot but had issues with Merv Griffin over a midget that was hired to play Mr. Monopoly. Apparently Peter was not happy that he couldn't talk to it and its only job was to run around the board.

I wish they could do it with 4 players, and it would be a hoot with Monopoly the Mega Edition (which has more properties, railroad depots, and bus token cards). Whomever owns the railroads could try for emminent domain. I would also update the board with Baltic, Mediterranean, (and Mega's Arctic) Avenues brown as they are on the current board. The income tax would be $200 and the Luxury Tax would be $100.
