Excerpt of Act II, Chapter 21 "Una Furtiva Lagrima" sung by Ferruccio Tagliavini
From: DVD 4492 L'elisir D'amore
In Lelisir damore, Gaetano Donizetti and his librettist Felice Romani created some of the most human and ingratiating characters in all of opera. This 1959 Tokyo production features the legendary singers Ferruccio Tagliavini and Alda Noni in their only complete live performances captured on film. Sung and acted with a refreshing spontaneity, humor, and lightness of touch, the performance is a rare and precious memento of a bygone era when opera was still part of popular Italian culture.
Embedded Japanese subtitles remain on screen throughout.
Optional subtitles in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
107 minutes, Black & White, mono, 4:3, All regions.

@01jocooper
haha I hope you don't (assuming you're a singer) sing "Uh" wherever you feel like singing loudly. There's vowel modification and different vowels. One can sing tall "ah" vowels (don't have IPA here) and "eh", but that is straight up "UUUUH". lol

lol what? he just sang 'cielA, si puAA morir' 0:59
Isn't he Italian? That's strange, that he sings those weird [a] vowels. That sounds absolutely wrong to my ears... How can an Italian singer mess up simple Italian?!
