Doolittle Raid in Fighter Ace

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese Empire launched a surprise attack against Pearl Harbor, causing the United States to enter the Second World War.
President Roosevelt wanted the Japanese mainland bombed to boost public morale after Pearl Harbor.
16 B-25 Mitchells were loaded onto the USS Hornet, which met the USS Enterprise, and headed towards Japan
On April 18, 10 hours and 170 miles before the planned launch, the carriers were spotted by a Japanese picket boat, which radioed an attack warning to Japan
The planes were launched immediately and proceeded towards Japanese targets, flying at wave top level to avoid radar
They dropped their bombs on military and industrial targets, and headed for the Chinese coast.
Short on fuel, after flying 13 hours, all but 1 of the bomber crews crash landed or bailed out of their planes in China. The other bomber landed in Russia
The raid was such a boost of morale for the American public; Doolittle was awarded the Medal of Honor by the President.

@rayjam1962 sorry ray but this game isn't online any more. All planes were piloted by real people in a room set up specifically for me by a FA employee. Try Aces High II. It's a good game
