My boyfriend, dog and I did a road trip to Newfoundland from Ottawa this summer. We drove through Cape Breton and took the ferry to Port-Aux-Basques. From there we drove up through Gros Morne to St.
Anthony and back down. Crossing over to the east by Twillingate and down into St.John's. Unfortunately for the 2nd week it was all rain and fog on the Avalon Peninsula.

We did get a few sunny breaks at Cape St. Mary's, enough to see the gannets. We crossed back over the Trans Canada and headed south towards Red Indian Lake. We took a lumber road down to Burgeo, spend a couple of foggy days at Sandbanks Provincial Park before heading back to the ferry, dodging moose along the way.

  • First song is from the Gladiator soundtrack, then Braveheart and third is Last of the Mohicans. Was definitely looking for celtic-themed songs. :)
