  • How does one clean the gourd of a calabash pipe? I'm having trouble with that. Also, the meerschaum bowl is pretty caked inside... Should I remove that?

  • @NerdFury I dont own a Calbash so I cant answer that Question. I do own a Meer and i dont let it cake up becuase thay say that will crack the bowl. Sorry I could not answer your Calabash question.

  • I'm under 21 what could I use instead of ever clear

  • @Acaciavet Thanks for all your help. Yeah, as a 24 year old pipe smoker I do stand out a bit, but collecting and enjoying pipes now and then seems like a wonderful hobby. It's almost a lost art nowadays. I am subscribing by the way..

  • @Acaciavet Thanks for the reply. I did some searching online and most people say to let some everclear soak inside the lower portion of the gourd for a while and pour it out the small end. I was able to get the stem clean via your other vid and wow - it looks like new! With the meerschaum bowl I've been going at it gently with some bristle pipe cleaners soaked in everclear and seem to have taken off the cake. It's still a little black, should I continue to remove this? Thanks much!

  • u dont even know. smoke some marijuana through those pipes and they get dirty fast. i love how weed smokes throgh tobaco pipes

  • Subscribed.

  • i buy a lot of estate pipes. I give them the full treatment. From reaming, salt/alcohol treatments, shank cleaning, cleaning outside and waxing bowl to...bleaching stem, sand to 1200 grain sandpaper, tripoli and white buffing compound. To tightening the stem if needed. Wanna find that bartender's keep. Thanks for the Vid!!
