Oriental Man -- Lund's Jazz Kapell 1978
Trombonist Dymtr Markiewicz has been a member of some very fine orchestras. Originally from Poland he was able to move to Sweden, and wisely he collected videos of many of his performances.
One very exciting band was the LUNDS JAZZ KAPELL playing here on the GOLDEN WASHBOARD FESTIVAL in Poland
Musicians are Ture Gislen cornet, Dymtr Markiewicz trombone,- Ulf Björboom Soprano sax and clarinet (died 4 Years ago), Ingjald Andreassen Sousaphone,Thomas Ahlner Drums and Bertil Olofsson banjo.
Not too many bands play this great Johnny Dodds classic Oriental Man, which Dodds recorded in 1927 and 1928 three times with pianist Jimmy Blythe and several other great sidemen.
A HOT one! Thanks Bob! 5 Stars!

A great tune played very nicely by this hot band. Excellent playing all round!! Being an ex horn player, I really like the cornet playing of Ture, however, the other front line players and the rhythm section get five stars from me. Well done guys.
