19 nifty Chevelle riffs that seem to stand out 4 me :D The riffs are from:An Evening With El Diablo,Another Know It All,Closure,Comfortable Liar,Delivery,Forfeit,Humanoid,Mia,Midnight To Midnight,Moda,Paint The Seconds,Point #1,Prove To You,Sma,Still Running,The Fad,The Red,Tug-O-War & Wonder What's Next.All accompanied by some pics.BTW:
In music, a riff is an ostinato figure: a repeated chord progression, pattern, refrain or melodic figure, often played by the rhythm section instruments, that forms the basis or accompaniment of a musical composition.

  • bodycage your a fag! tool and chevelle sound nothing alike...have you ever listened to either tool or chevelle ever? go away gay boy...go listen to some nickleback and make yourself feel better.

  • chevelle named tool as an influence, and though their newer few albums don't sound similar to tool, point #1 was extremely similar to Tool's style, though it was still good.

  • Forgot family system bro

  • @vtxlars oh chill out, don't say they sound NOTHING alike, because they do at times. and i'm pretty sure Pete and Sam were fans of Tool.

  • Beautiful compilation! When it ended I thought, "Aww... it's ovah?" It certainly makes me hungry for more. You've got some superb Chevelle music and more here. Thanks kindly!

  • they have some of the heaviest riffs and with the vocals so light, it's an amazing combo

  • @lambtime Pete Loeffler doesn't sound an iota like Maynard Keenan you dirt scented douche'. The only reason you have any of that bullshit in your brainwashed head is that some douche' fuck interviewer caught Pete citing Tool as an influence.

Now go and find a 90's/2000's metal band that DOESN'T cite them as an influence.

Back your shit up: paste some vids together of Tool and Chevelle where they (Pete and Keenan) sound even REMOTELY alike and I'll pay your 'net bill for a month.

  • you missed one dude "family system" that's the best riff pete has ever come up with

  • Nice ass riffs! The red is my fav. and Prove to you is really good

  • @vtxlars but chevelle were inspired by tool

  • Okay, has anyone ever listened to Comfortable Liar with the bass all the way up? In the beggining before he starts singing and everything is just godliness with that bass overload! If you haven't listened to it that way you have to try it!

  • @xxxupforadoptionxxx3 You are correct
