These clips are of Nikki when she was 12 and 13 years old. Nikki is gone now, but she loved to lay on the dock and grab fish out of the water. Some fish she would eat and others she'd 'throw back' after a good taste!

@dognikki2002 i am very sorry for your loss. i too lost my dog tara. she took care of me since i was little and i was the only one of the three kids she protected.

I too, am sorry for your loss. I'm surprised Nikki didn't JUMP in! I had a golden named Penny. She brought me lots and lots of joy and looked a lot like Nikki as a baby. Thanks for your post!

Great video! I have a shepherd/collie X who will fish for bluegills along the shoreline for hours. Unlike Nikki, she's never even come close to catching anything. That's sad that Nikki has passed on......but I'd like to think there's lots of fish, and lots of slow fat squirrels waiting for them on the other side. ;)

@bileduck99 Awwww, thanks! Nikki fished for a couple years before she 'perfected' her technique, so don't give up!

When Nikki first started fishing she tried to catch the fish by jumping in and grabbing them. She loved to swim too!
