His policy was to spend spend spend with no thought or regard for the evidence of a massive property bubble that was presented to him for years. He is nothing but a two bit shister that got drunk on the positive publicity the peace process in the north afforded him. Typical that he refuses to accept any responsibility, says it all really

    And yet we loved him for it, the longest ever running Taoiseach to date. The warnings were there, we could've stopped if not prepared for the fall but as always we were too caught up in money and expensive ventures. Bertie and Fianna Fail may have been the directors who subsequently ruined us, but we were the audience watching joyfully hoping the good times would never end.
