That's beautiful. What I wouldn't give to be left alone for a few days to learn some of the niftier tools. Just for grins, try the cloth test again, but use a movie file as the skin. I'd be interested in seeing how well Blender handles the process.
If you mean export as movie file, then you go into blender, press f10 which brings up scene information, then find the format tab, you should see a bar that says jpeg, change it to AVI Raw. then render, it will render each individual frame and save it as a whole movie to your computers tmp folder. To get there, go to the local disk and select tmp folder. if you let the movie render completly, it will be in this folder.
