wow i so much believe Hmong/Miao use to dance like that. the modern dance now has no feeling/touch to it(my opinion). I love this!! this dance resemble how we live freely. i dont like the thai/lao mixture dance we have now. i didnt mean that i dont like like thai and lao dance, i prefer original thai/lao dance verses the mix.

Many times when people hear the world 'Hmong', they immediately think of the hmong dawb, but it's not like that. there are other groups of hmong that are all included under the name 'Hmong'. but the important thing to remember is that we're all one people (the Miao in China, the Meo in vietnam, and the Hmong in the West). We all have the same ancestors and the same origins, and we all fought in the same wars together from the Jiuli times to San Miao and until now.
hope you understand.

No, actually there's an equality between Miao and Hmong.
in the West, all of the Miao people who don't have chinese citizenship are called Hmong, and when people say 'Hmong', there are a whole lot of Miao groups that are included like hmong green, hmong dub, striped hmong, hmong white, etc.
There are two distinct spellings for 'Hmong', one is 'Mong(Moob)' and the other is 'Hmong (Hmoob)' which is the official name for Miao in the West.
Miao is what we're called in China. We're all one people.

I don't mean to be rude, so sorry if i come off that way, but if you insist that: "Hmong are people whose lineage can be traced back to the initial migration from Southern China to the Indochinese region," then you seriously need to go do a lot of research about the Hmong (Miao) people.

i agree!!
I find our own Miao (Hmong) cultural dances to be so much better than the traditional thai/lao dances.

That would be SO much fun!
i think the comment feature should be turned off sometimes, just my personal preference actually. no matter how informative you try to be, some people wont take the initiative to learn. i applaud those who actually learn, sometimes ppl are idiots.

Turning it off would make things way easier, but leaving 'em on will allow those that want to learn a chance to learn. Just my two cents.
