So here's the first of my two promised EX exhibition videos. I tried to max out each character's damage output to the absolute fullest using all the means available to me after having cleared the game completely. This video contains a clip of each and every EX move and a couple of interesting normal moves of the main cast of the game. I added clips of moves like Dread's Ravage, Jake's Voltage Dial, and Hawk's Orbital Assault each for different reasons.

Dread's Ravage has a high damage potential for a move that costs 1 EX to use, which can be seen in the video by the over 56k damage he does. I want to say that his Ravage is one of the most efficient damage dealing moves for its cost in the game, as it can easily hit hard with minimal input from your gear.

Jake's Voltage Dial also deals a rather impressive amount of damage for a non-EX move. Considering it's basically his "normal" attack, that is.

Hawk's Orbital Assault deals damage on a similar level to his EX Indignant Variati it seems. In fact, it seems more efficient to simply use it instead of saving for Indignant Variati. Each of the two moves hit for roughly 30-50k damage per hit, though Indignant Variati did seem to favor slightly higher damage totals.

I don't know why, but Scott's EX was rather underwhelming. He benefited from the same equipment setup and maxed stats that everyone else did. I just can't explain why it did so little damage by comparison to everyone else's. If I messed up somewhere in the execution of that clip, please let me know and I'll make a corrected version.

I don't even know what to make of Violet's EX at this point. I mean, in my other video I used only what was available to me and managed to deal over 100k damage before I even got access to the post game. With post game stuff I hit for so much the game can't display it? That long pause at the end of the first clip of using it was me being too stunned to hit the stop button on FRAPS because of what I thought I just saw. If I remember correctly, the total damage outputs of the move that were displayed on each clip were 170k and 199k damage respectively.

Equipment Used

Sync - Zero System
Sync - Zero System
Armor - Celestial Sphere
Gear - *Element* Bolster
Mode - Chaos

Basically, I used two Zero Systems and minimized the character's HP total. By hitting an enemy with a 50% weakness to the chosen element (either Burn, Force, Freeze, or Psi depending on the move used) coupled with the 25% boost from the Bolster gear. This generated something like a +255% bonus to base damage. Then by maxing out the character's stats via Enhancers and nigh unlimited money in the post-post game and using all appropriate boosts and crushes on the character and enemies, I'm able to achieve these damage totals. Chaos mode is chosen both for stats and because of the -20% per round HP drain in order to speed up the loss of HP for the character. Crit Boost prevents me from reaching the full potential base damage +%, but I'm able to get close enough.

I assumed that the base damage +% modifiers would work on Erin's Second Aid despite being a healing move, and was right. Heh, that could comfortably heal 2/3's of the final boss's total HP, btw. ;)

As far as I know, these are roughly the best possible damage outputs in the main cast. Let me know if I screwed anything up/forgot an EX.

  • I take Killing Point over Shooting Star cuz if Violet's doing that much damage, Shooting Star's broken. And broken skills are cheap.

  • Hot damn, Violet's a beast!
