  • Ok, nice. now i can't get barrel off. Do i have to smack it hard?

  • @OSUSean1604 Yes. Use something that wont scratch the metal.

  • @meanmiguel How did you mount the flash suppressor to the barrel of your Ruger Mark III pistol?

  • @jtajii I had threads custom created on the end of the barrel by a Class III dealer local to where I live. Its not uncommon for companies that manufacture suppressors to complete this kind of modification. Hope this helps.

  • * meant to type "send it back to ruger"

  • You just saved me a trip to the gun shop to either sell or repair this pistol. Ugghhh why is this pistol so hard to take apart and reassemble? Your video helped with the knowledge of the cheese and dingle berry but it took me 1 hour to have the thing seat right. And mind you I tried cleaning the firearm for the first time after 200 rounds and freaking inserted the magazine backwards, had to end it to ruger to remove it because believe me it wasn't coming out. I get the pistol back with scratche

  • @OSUSean1604 poor man's hammer. piece of wood, or if you're fancy, a leather or wood faced mallet.

  • have you ever had a problem where you assemble everything properly but when you put the trigger it just goes back. The hammer doesn't fall. It seems like the gun isn't cocking. could it be the dingle berry isn't going in to the right spot? I've disassembled and reassembled my ruger mkIII many times without a problem. A friend of mine just did his but we can't get it to fire/cock. I think that is the problem. What do you think?

  • Thank you, this was a huge help.

  • Thank you i was trying to put my mainspring back in and it kept prying it self out i had to move the cheese up to fix it

  • thank you, man. You have no idea how frustrated I was when the bolt wouldnt pull out. Then after putting the main spring back in then it got stuck.. UGH! lol all good now thanks to you.

  • Thankyou! I spent hours trying to get mine back together the first time, watched the official ruger video as well as others (not to mention reading and re-reading the manual) and none of them were much help. Watched your video and had it back together in a minute flat! Your explanation of the cheese and dingleberry were exactly what I needed.
