The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword from Nintendo for the Nintendo Wii. Skyward Sword is the eighth proper Zelda title released for a home console, which makes its freshness all the more impressive. It's rare to play a game in which the controls actually immerse you into the game's world, but that's what MotionPlus does for Zelda. Sword fights are no longer routine exercises in obligatory button mashing. Each one is an event that requires attention, even strategy. But the most interesting thing about the game is its appearance. Skyward Sword is based on impressionism, an art style that blossomed in the 19th century. The whole idea is you're not necessarily painting an object as much as you're capturing light. This is exactly what Nintendo has accomplished with Skyward Sword. Objects looming in the distance are beautifully rendered in the impressionist style, but as you approach them, they slowly come into focus. Details emerge. The painting begins to move. This video review features video gameplay footage of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

  • @austinthebookworm5 im soooo glad u felt the same way. pls check out my review on my page

  • @austinthebookworm5 YES!! That's exactly how I feel it! Altough it ahs good music, it has nothing to do with the other soundtracks. I can remember almost all songs from all the other Zeldas. But not this one. Also, I don't like running in the sand either, and don't like going to Sky just to go down again because I can't go there on earth...

  • I liked it... didn't love it. I felt the game had a restricted world, constant backtracking and fetch quests, disappointing music and well... just not as fun level design (I hate running across quicksand!!). Maybe it's just me.

Also, Fi is the most annoying sidekick in the history of gaming.

  • I would give this one a 9or 8.5/10 I love the art style, the gameplay works perfectly fine and the story is cool but the sky is a bit empty and there's not allot of exploration.

  • @YETIPINTRADER the funny thing is with that new zelda timeline nintendo has released, the link most people love more than all the rest could be seen as the destroyer of time as opposed to the hero lol. i still think hes a hero though <3 ocarina of time

  • The Star Wars Prequels had to fantastic foreshadowing

  • Got this but can't play it cos you need motionplus and i don't have that. Thanks Nintendo.

  • 0:30-1:25 Really couldn't of said it better myself

  • @blademaster3142 This is a different Link. Skyward Sword has the Hero of the Goddess and Ocarina has the Hero of Time.

  • @ThatGuySpot almost every Link in every game is a different one. The exception being the direct sequel games.

in OoT specifically, child Link is 9, adult Link is 16
