i did this on my level 60 paladin in cata patch 4.1 before i got cata and was bored

@DraconicMorphine because in the time (1.1.1-2.0.0 patch) it was unfinished zone so people SHOULDN'T be able to get there. anyways, they found their way. So blizzard closed the way and made the "No man's land" buff/debuff that everytime you entered the Hyjal, ported you back to Winterspring. As you sure know-at patch 4.0.3 with cata Hyjal is finally a finished zone. yay ^^

ahh...sometimes I miss old WoW a lot...
the times when critters were skinnable, when lvl 50 enchants could be on a lvl 20 items and when hyjal was enterable.good old times that will never get back.

@fandore12 Upon the shattering happening, I can say that we still have most of the old world intact with a few changes here and there. Most of the changes are in the questing. Some zones got highly edited but it still feels like the same world we came to love back in the day.

Just an FYI...in the next expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Mt. Hyjal will finally be implemented. It will be under siege by the Firelord Ragnaros, who wishes to burn the World Tree and the entire forest down (for unknown purposes). Malfurion Stormrage will also make his return, defending Hyjal. So just to let you know.
