    Aye. It wasn't until the mid-late 2000s that pro riders started going brakeless. Brakes are handy for certain kinds of tricks. Ryan Nyquist still runs a full brake setup, as well as full body protection. I don't understand this notion that you're not pro unless you have to destroy your shoes to sorta kinda come to a stop. Kids nowadays need a history lesson. I'd wager dollars to donuts they don't know what the acronym "BMX" even stands for, or how this sport even got started.
