@tropicallanterns That is correct. Since C is the second note of the Bb major scale, then you just start on C and pretend you're in Bb major, playing the notes that you mention, C,D,Eb,F,G,A,Bb, then a C to finish the octave if you want. I hope this helped.

yes, it takes the key signature of the note a tone lower.
so C Dorian takes the key signature of Bb major.

I'm confused--on Chord House, it says that C Dorian Scale is C,D,Eb,F,G,A,Bb. Can someone help clarify this to me? Thanks in advance.
