What is this gay fighting? Once you put pads and gloves on, you might as well be kickboxing. Not saying kickboxing is gay, because I am a kickboxer as well, but this in no way represents either Mantis or Kyokunshinkai...of which I have experience in both.

@TheKungfuzen After watching it again, I can give credit to the guy in black. He is quick to respond, and has a nice take-down, but even though snappy, he doesn't have power behind it. His kicks are too high without being underneath them. Not only were they not landing, but had he connected on many of those, he likely would have lost his balance. It seems that he practiced against hand pads, but not nearly enough against heavybag.

@TheKungfuzen and yes, I have fought plenty of times in full gear, and hit hard enough to break bone. Make your hits count, and get behind the padding. This isn't a dance...it's a fight.

@TheKungfuzen no, no, no. This video says it is "Karate Kyokunshinkai vs mantis kung fu sanshou", in which case neither techniques are being used. Should I give credit to a soldier who ignores his training and is not tactical in any regard? No. These guys are hopping around and apparently trying to kickbox. I would at least like to see some more effort rather than disgrace a style. This is why people are so swayed against the arts, but yet think wrestling is the win-it-all sport.

@raredesign Try to imagine an esgrima fight with no clothes or mask. Or a gunfight without bullet proof protection. This is not a brawl, it's a competition, dude! Calling gay to other people because they want to challenge their skills whithout ripping their heads off, doesn't mean they're gay or something. just grow up, people!
