  • My great uncle is in this video twice (around 2:36 and 3:57). Thank you for sharing, my whole family is excited to see this!

  • @DysfunctionalDoll004 Oh WOW really??? Is he in the frame where Bette Davis is reading over the script with someone? Which one is he?? Oh, and you're very welcome =)

  • A sinister movie, but a good one... I just bought it on DVD...I hadn't seen it for years...and, even today, it still creeps me out. It is great to see these stellar actors together.

  • @pyrofella Well said. Couldn't agree more.

  • The show started with 30 minutes of clips from her films, ending with the 'What a dump!' line. She then walked onto stage sat down, puffed a cigarette and said this. A microphone was passed around for people to ask questions. My friend Peter asked if she had done her own makeup for Baby Jane, her reply was "Yes, what makeup artist would have wanted his name on the credits for doing that!'

I remember other comments which I will post tomorrow. I am currently watching 'Mrs Skeffington'.

  • That would be great! I'd like to hear/read the other comments! =) I've heard about that show.

  • I'm more impressed by Joan's subtle work in the film than Bette's work.

  • @PinkPoodleSkirt77 OH!!! and it was a silver tray from my uncles restaurant that they used during rehearsals for the "bird on the plate" scene, hahaha... unfortunately, his poor tray wasn't the one used in the finished film... darn, LOL!

  • @JoeWPratt that is too funny, I never heard that before, LOL

  • @DysfunctionalDoll004 Wow! That's a crazy coincidence, my late uncles restaurant did all the catering on this film and setup lunches and dinners everyday for all the actors and crew! He had a very impressive collection of autographed memorabilia and some great stories!!! :)

  • The movie made a fortune. Davis expected the Oscar but I think Annie Bancroft was unbeatable in "The Miracle Worker" because of the gravity of the material. But Crawford should absolutely also been nominated. She had the quieter, less showy role but she was magnificent. Davis and Crawford disliked each other on many levels and were nervous wrecks around each other but they were living legends for a reason. They were totally capable and totally professional. The film stands up well today.

  • great actress so good to see her thanks for posting.....

  • "Anyway GO, ya fired!"

  • wow, they don't make them like that anymore.

  • Joan crawford played a very deep and emotional role, obviously Bette obviously did too,but Joan stood out becuase she wasnt a parody of herself like Bette cam off as.

  • I would love to star in such a movie!!!
