  • The goal was legit. Panucci was not ruled out. A player cannot rule himself out. Thats the refs job to rule him out regardless of teh state of the player or where he is at. Sorry Italy... you lose

  • Ofcourse thats a goal given... That goal was fair and square. Else all Players will run over the backline to get an offside situation. Duh.

  • @ajaxajaxajaxajaxjode they're canadian

  • it was not a goal yes.

But one question i wanna ask.

How come when this controversy came up everyone went and searched up the Uefa rules and found the actual page of the rule book that would allow this goal.

HOWEVER. when Grosso is fouled by Neil. nobody got on their computers and searched up the fifa rule books, to show that neil obstructed grosso in his path to goal (which by the way, it is in the rule book).

Sad how people are so hateful to Italy. childish in some ways. but stilll sad.

  • Is not offside. Only if was there a doctor with a player..

  • Unlike Scotland. Fuck off, boy. Go brush your tooth.

  • Idiots. All 3. They do not know the laws or the current interpretations there of.

  • and it doesn't matter anyway...holland still would have won 2-0 if the 'offside' goal never stood. Get over it italy...you're crap!!

  • italy are shit!! :D they never deserved to get through to the euro's. fucking shit team.

  • Listen Panucci fell off the pitch legitimately injured. If he was in fact "in play" then the referee should have stopped the play for the injured player. He didn't. Guess why. Because Panucci was already outside of the field and out of play. Therefore Holland was in an offside position.

  • So you suggest that whenever a defender "falls" of the field of play he should be considered for the offside rule? Well, then all these "professional" wusses who play football will then "simulate" being injured and off the pitch making the attackers offside.

UEFA says that this is not offside. And they have the authority. What you, I or anybody else thinks is irrelevant.
