Devry is better than Wharton! I went there!

too bad that no matter how well you do at that psuedo-"university" some employers won't hire you no matter what. why spend $60k on a degree that's considered shaky at best?
-
No one cares if you graduated from DeVry, some state university of some other private school. Employers look for EXPERIENCE. Unless you graduated from Ivy League school, employer won't care where you graduated.

Degrees from Devry University have the same weight as degrees from any generic government operated public university.

Um, business degrees from Devry are frowned upon by most of the working world. Sorry to have to break it to you. If you don't believe me, do a simple google search and find out for yourself. Why would you spend so much money on a degree that's shaky, at best, in the job market?

Awesome! I want to change careers from Computer Aided Drafting to "Web Design". I've decided to learn the intro classes to Web Design on my own with the online resources. Then I might be able to test out of some of the classes and save money. I also will be able to enter college with a better knowledge and hit the ground running.

@JayZoop im starting thi march 2010 NY!!
I'm fed up with College Reviews. Every single college has countless lazy graduates who don't apply themselves after college, and they come on the internet and complain about how they are in debt and the schools sucks. I've had enough. I met with Devry tonight and they have their stuff together. They don't bullshit around. I think I'm going to apply at Devry.

I'm a DeVry grad myself. DeVry is a very good school but it really depends on how much you want out of it. As for the problems you are talking about, go to a state college and you will see real problems. The industry does take DeVry serious. The design their programs around what companies want.
