This video is part 1/2 of a lecture given by Ray Catree (Director of Utah State University Research Farms) who has done extensive research on different tillage methods and their ability to trap or "harvest" winter moisture, and therefore increase crop yields on both irrigated and dryland farms.
The swept-forward shanks on the Miskin Subsoiler make it easy to pull. It breaks up the soil by cracking, splitting, and lifting the layers. No waisted fuel and HP dragging through the ground via brute force. The Subsoiler fluffs the ground more, to trap more of the winter moisture, and keeps more of the water in the ground (less run-off) for better crops and higher yields.
