  • Over at oddcast (dot com), they have a simulator you can play with. It's pretty cool. :)

  • This particular install of Ubuntu is a virtual machine, so not something I use every day. My desktop distro of choice is actually Ubuntu. Simple does not mean it's not advanced.

    I do use other distributions for tech tips too, so I try to cover more than just Ubuntu. (We're not Ubuntu Journal after all!) But personal choice is indeed Ubuntu, running Gnome.

  • nice tip. free helps but I just use top because it shows me it anyway.

    BTW you have some updates waiting to be downloading/installed! (j/k, I can tell from the default panel icons that you don't use that instance of ubuntu!) Is your main computer a ubuntu computer? You seem like you would use something more advanced then ubuntu. I'm a noob so I use ubuntu, but tips like these are good to know!
